Monthly Book Club
The next meeting is on Wednesday February 1st and the book for discussion is Death Comes
to Pemberley by P.D. James.
The book club meets on the first Wednesday of every month. The group chooses a novel, or
some poetry for people to read, and then discuss it over a glass of wine. It is very laid-back and
friendly. We meet in the Upper Vestry House at the back of the church.
Women's Institute
The London West End branch of the WI meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm in the
upper vestry room of St Georges. The Woman’s Institute was established in 1915 and is the
largest women’s organisation in the UK. It is non-party political and non-sectarian and offers
women the opportunity to be active in the community, learn new skills and make friendsl.
